Our Story
In Good Company Workplaces started in 2019 with a simple observation: women entrepreneurs were everywhere, but the spaces designed for them were not. Traditional coworking felt impersonal. Networking events felt performative. And the education options were either too expensive or too generic.
Alicia Torres, a former management consultant turned founder, decided to create the space she wished she had when she launched her first business from a cramped apartment in Brooklyn. She found a bright, open loft on West 29th Street, convinced a handful of friends to join as the first members, and started hosting Friday workshops on things she had learned the hard way — pricing, contracts, pitching investors.
Word spread. Within six months the membership was full. Within a year, In Good Company had a waitlist. Today, our community includes more than three hundred women at every stage — from side-hustle starters to seven-figure founders — and our education programs have been attended by thousands.
We remain committed to what made us different from day one: real education, real connections, and a space where women entrepreneurs are taken seriously.
